The Home
Rosemary Lodge Care Home is situated a short 10-minute walk from Antrim town centre. It is a residential home with capacity for up to 42 residents. Categories of care include Residential Care, Dementia, Learning Disability Over 65, Physical Disability Over 65, Mental Disorder excluding Learning Disability or Dementia Over 65. The staff are always ready to lend a helping hand for any assistance required. They are friendly and approachable and enjoy learning about the lives of our residents as well as being able to assist them with participating with activities or just having a good old chat and cup of tea to ensure the residents feel comfortable and safe.
The Role

The role of Wellbeing Lead is responsible for providing a schedule of engaging pursuits that create a supportive environment where residents can thrive.
The Wellbeing Lead will manage the planning, organising and facilitation of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents in our Homes along with the Wellbeing Assistant. They will work closely with the care team, families, residents, and external partners to develop and implement a wide range of activities that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents. Leading the wellbeing and activities function in the Home is essential in our mission to provide excellent care.
Working Hours:
30 Hours/week
Main Responsibilities:
Prepare, plan, and deliver recreational and occupational activities.
Ensure effective and timely record keeping.
Contribute to surveys, audits and clinical research projects, assisting with the collection, analysis, and presentation of data.
Observe and monitor the well-being of residents.
Supervise staff.
Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.

Desired Criteria:
Knowledge of external educational, vocational and leisure activity providers to expand the range of activities available
Experience gained within a nursing home environment
Required Criteria:
To be educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a good standard of English
To be able to creatively plan activities to meet the needs of service users
