Windows 11 Rollout Engineer, London, 6 month contract.
Pay.UK are seeking an experienced and seasoned Windows 11 Rollout Engineer for a 6 month contract to upgrade the company's existing Windows 10 laptop estate. This role is pivotal in the smooth deployment of Windows 11 to the business areas, whilst ensuring a seamless transition of operating systems to our business users.
We're looking for an Enterprise Level individual, ideally from a Service Desk background who must be able to evidence and execute the following attributes:
Be customer service centric who shows willingness to understand business user needs and concerns at an individual/role level
Takes a common-sense troubleshooting approach
Clear ability to understand user requirements and ensure solution meet business user needs
Senior level experience who can work autonomously in person and in digital communication with business users
Key Accountabilities
Deploying Windows 11 across multiple laptop models efficiently and effectively
Diagnosing and resolving issues related to the Windows 11 rollout
Working closely with the IT team, with clear escalation routes to ensure minimal disruption during the installation process
Providing technical support and training to end users post-deployment
Creating detailed deployment documentation and reports
Managing and maintaining rollout schedule documentation
Collaborating within project management governance and key stakeholders to meet rollout deadlines
Skills & Experience
Solid experience in OS rollouts, specifically from Windows 10 to Windows 11 operating systems
Software packaging experience (Intune)
In-depth understanding of Windows 11 deployment processes and tools
Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Applicants must be available to work onsite 5 days a week, looking to start mid-late January 2025 latest.
