Key Responsibilities: Serve as a scrub or circulating nurse in diverse surgical procedures, including Laparoscopy, Endoscopy, Trauma, Orthopedic, Pediatric, ENT, Maternity, Gynecological, Ophthalmology, Urology, Vascular, and Plastics. Assist anaesthetists during induction and throughout the anaesthetic period as an Anaesthetic Nurse. Monitor patient conditions vigilantly, ensuring safety and taking appropriate action as needed. Step into the role of Charge Nurse and team leader, managing resources effectively and fostering team collaboration. Contribute to unit improvement initiatives and participate in research projects as required. Mentor, precept, and inspire new junior staff and peers, fostering a culture of growth and professional excellence. Engage in ongoing professional development, including workshops, educational programs, and staying updated with current clinical practices. Qualifications & Registration Required: Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution. Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council (BNC). At least two years of recent, continuous experience in an Operating Room setting. Valid certifications in CPR and IV Therapy; ACLS is a plus. Strong physical assessment skills and comprehensive clinical competencies. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and contribute to a positive team environment.
