Workday Extend Lead Developer

Join our client’s team as a Lead Workday Extend Developer, where you'll drive innovation and build impactful solutions on the Workday platform. You'll be part of a new Product team focused on developing pioneering applications in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This team identifies, builds, and scales products from inception to market maturity within the Workday ecosystem.
Responsibilities include leading the technical design for products using Workday Extend, AWS, and AI while working closely with product teams to develop customer-centric roadmaps. You’ll create proof-of-concepts, gather user feedback, and navigate product certification on the Built on Workday platform.
Essential Skills:
- Strong expertise in Workday Extend platform development, AWS, and API integrations.
- Proficiency in XML, REST, SOAP, JSON, and object-oriented programming (preferably J2EE).
- Ability to design and estimate applications that solve business and technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and customer focus, with the ability to manage expectations and maintain positive relationships.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with other middleware platforms and designing workflows.
- Background in team management, mentoring, and development.
Team Leadership (if applicable): If managing, you’ll set goals, support performance development, conduct feedback sessions, manage career progression, oversee workload forecasting, and assist in recruitment.
