Workday Security Analyst

with a focus on security evaluation, design, and configuration within the HR Technology team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in implementing and maintaining robust security frameworks in Workday, emphasizing data security and adherence to least privileged access principles, as well as configuration experience in Absence and/or Time Tracking. This role involves close collaboration with functional and technical experts to ensure the integrity and continuity of our security model across Workday and interconnected systems.

This is a full-time, remote position.

The team

The HR Technology team is responsible for leveraging technology to meet the strategic needs of Avantor's human resources operations while fostering an environment of continuous growth and development. As part of this dynamic team, you will contribute to projects that enhance system security and improve user experiences across the company.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Workday security, including intersection and segment security.

• Experience in configuring Workday Time Tracking and/or Absence Management.

THOSE NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB COMPETENTLY: In-depth knowledge of Workday security frameworks and leading practices. Strong understanding of data security and least privileged access principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in creating calculated fields and condition rules. Proficiency in advanced security configuration tools within Workday. Familiarity with standard office software and project management tools. Experience in ServiceNow HRSD. Experience in Excel required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Additional experience in configuring other Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Benefits) is highly desirable. Workday Pro Security certification is highly preferred. Workday HCM Pro certification is highly preferred.

HOW YOU WILL THRIVE AND CREATE AN IMPACT: As a Workday Security and Configuration Analyst at Avantor, you will be integral in evaluating, designing, and configuring security measures that protect our organizational data and ensure system continuity. Your role involves consulting with other experts to align our security practices across multiple platforms and technologies. Lead the design and implementation of security measures that protect company data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Collaborate with IT and HR teams to enhance security protocols and ensure a seamless security experience across various platforms. Act as a security consultant within the HR Technology team, influencing decisions and projects that impact system-wide security. Support HR Operations transformation initiatives, predominantly involving ServiceNow operations (approx. 20% of role). Continue standardization in Workday and create cohesive security across Avantor platforms, notably ServiceNow HRSD. Prioritize ServiceNow Administration and Time-Tracking/Absence, specifically enabling configuration.
