Main duties of the job

Responsible for the operational management of the HR Systems and Rostering Team. Pro-actively identify areas of improvement to the existing Workforce Systems and processes. Act as a lead specialist advisor on all workforce systems to all users, particularly on ESR, E-Rostering, Job Planning, and CIS. Work with the Head of Service to analyze how the workforce systems can be used to align/integrate with the output of highly complex business processes. Support Trust Workforce Objectives in relation to sustainability plans, implementation of E-Rostering and E-Job Planning, and the readiness assessments for ESR developments.

Educated to Degree Standard or equivalent or with equally demonstrable experience

Operational and/or Project Management qualification or demonstrable experience

Demonstrable experience of rostering and workforce data systems within the NHS Supervisory / Leadership experience of multiple individuals

Demonstrable experience of temporary staffing, safer staffing and job planning systems

Knowledge

Detailed knowledge of rostering software Clear understanding of data flows between workforce systems

Desirable

Change management theories with examples Detailed knowledge of ESR, SmartCards and SystmOne Access

Skills

Clear verbal and written communication skills Competent with Microsoft Excel

Ability to manipulate raw data for reporting purposes
