The Client and Project Info:
We are working with a leading M&E Contractor looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee and lead mechanical installations on-site. This role involves working hands-on with the team, supervising the installation of HVAC systems, pipework, and heavy commercial infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong pipefitting background and be comfortable supervising multiple gangs on-site.
Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities:
Lead by example, working on the tools as a hands-on Pipefitter while overseeing the installation of HVAC systems, pipework, and commercial infrastructure. Supervise and coordinate multiple gangs of pipefitters, ensuring work is carried out safely, on time, and to specification. Ensure all installations comply with technical drawings, project plans, and health & safety regulations. Conduct site inspections, resolving any technical issues and ensuring quality control. Maintain clear communication with the team, subcontractors, and senior management to keep the project on track. Monitor progress and ensure the safe delivery of projects within the specified timeframes. Mechanical Supervisor Requirements:
SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme) required. Strong experience as a Pipefitter with a background in supervising teams on-site. Experience with HVAC installations and heavy commercial pipework. Ability to manage and lead a team, ensuring productivity and quality. Excellent knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations. Good communication skills to liaise with site teams and management. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
