The Workplace & UX Manager is responsible for developing and managing the modern workplace strategy. This role ensures the delivery of an optimal user experience for all endpoint devices, including the deployment and management of laptops, desktops, and virtual desktops. The Workplace & UX Manager plays a critical role in expanding the deployment of standard desktops and applications across Europe, increasing control, security, and compliance for end-user devices, and improving the digital workplace experience for users. This is a management level position which requires strong technical knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage a team and processes effectively. Key Tasks and Responsibilities

In this role, you will: Develop and implement workplace technology strategies to enhance the user experience and support business objectives. Manage virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and endpoint solutions, ensuring they meet organisational needs. Ensure the optimal user experience with workplace technologies, focusing on usability, performance, and reliability. Standardise desktop builds to reduce the number of different images in use, simplifying management and support. Oversee the deployment of updates and patching to endpoint devices, such as Windows 11. Increase the level of control, security, and compliance for end-user devices, adhering to industry standards and regulations. Improve the digital workplace experience for users, ensuring their needs are met and issues are promptly addressed. Increase visibility of the user estate, ensuring accurate tracking and management of all endpoint devices. Collaborate with IT Leadership and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for workplace technology initiatives. Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in workplace and user experience management, incorporating relevant advancements into the organisation's strategy. Key Characteristics

Proven project management skills, able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. In-depth knowledge of Workplace / End User Device concepts, tools, infrastructure, and capabilities. Experience with multiple Workplace software products, platforms, and vendors. Strong vendor management skills, with experience managing third-party relationships. Languages: English (Fluent). Desirable: Second European Language (preferred). Excellent communication skills with people at all levels across the organisation. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Effective negotiation skills to facilitate collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and MSPs. The ability to translate business requirements into viable technical solutions. Strong stakeholder management skills (all directions). Minimum Requirements

College diploma or university degree in business, information systems, or a technical related subject. Minimum of 7 years hands-on, technical experience of working as part of an IT Operations team. Minimum of 5 years management experience within an IT Operations team. Experience in a Workplace / End User device related role. Experience working in the construction materials / industrial manufacturing sector. Proven experience of working in a federated matrix model. Strong professional accreditations / certifications such as ITIL, Azure, Citrix etc. About CRH
