THE JOB
Taking responsibility for some key day-to-day processes in line with company guidelines and ensuring smooth communication between all parties.
Play a key part in offering industry-leading levels of service to our internal and external customers.
Day-to-day technical support of a busy workshop, covering the following key areas;
Taking responsibility for key day-to-day processes in line with company guidelines and ensuring smooth communication between all parties. Play a key part in offering industry-leading levels of service to our internal and external customers. Act as the main point of contact between the technicians, customers, and other departments. Ensure efficient working of the team, allocation of jobs, and team supervision/development. Oversee the quality of work performed by a technician to ensure repairs and servicing meet the company and manufacturer standards. Administering all aspects of invoicing processes. Warranty process compliance within the department, responsible for meeting deadlines and ensuring manufacturers' requirements are met. Processing warranty claims and dealing with warranty claim data and management. Ensuring Dealer Standards are maintained across the department and maintaining a clean and efficient working environment. Work closely with the Workshop Technicians/Parts Manager to ensure solid communication to all parties. Any other task associated with the efficient technical support of a Workshop.
Skills, Experience And Qualities Required Demonstrable experience of supporting people and leading/developing a team in a similar environment. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Written skills - proven ability to use clear, concise language specific for the purpose and audience. Confident IT user, including a working knowledge of the following packages: Word, Excel, and Outlook. A working knowledge of diagnostic software. Flexibility with working hours during the busy season and weekends. Full UK Driving License required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate, and liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Ability to manage change and to adapt to unexpected demands on a day-to-day basis. Ability to assess priorities and manage competing deadlines both independently and as a member of a team. Ability to influence and support with the management of a diverse team. Experience working independently and managing time in a commercial environment.
