The role of the Workshop Controller is to: Manage the process of optimising workshop resources to meet agreed departmental budgets. Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the department. Department/Business/Location: Workshop Reports to: Aftersales Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Calculate and manage the effective use of workshop resources for the business. Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met. Plan the distribution of work amongst the team utilising available skills mix. Work with the Workshop Manager to identify individual training and development needs. Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress. Monitor and maintain workshop standards in accordance with brand requirements alongside the Workshop Manager. Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of manufacturer service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators. Maintain and develop own skills and technical knowledge. Maintain safe working practices and abide by the working rules and standards of the business. Management of internal preparation work from start to finish. Skills & Requirements Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT. Good organisational and leadership skills with the ability to delegate and motivate the team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure. Full UK driving licence. Smart appearance.
