Workshop Controller - Automotive Garage
Location: Bishop's Stortford
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Our client is a main car dealership looking to recruit a Workshop Controller to join their busy site.
Workshop Controller Role: You will manage a busy and thriving workshop on a daily basis, overseeing Technicians. This position is responsible for all aspects of workshop daily management, including issuing work to technicians, managing tooling & equipment, and ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
Workshop Controller - Key Responsibilities: Have full responsibility for issuing work, taking into account loading and commitment to customers as agreed by the reception team. Ensure workshop processes meet guidelines on retail, internal, and warranty procedures. Issue work in the most efficient manner. Oversee the issuing and progressing of Sales Department preparation work. Provide general information on the progress of work through the workshop, highlighting any potential concerns and taking preventative measures to avoid any impact on Customer Satisfaction. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
Workshop Controller Requirements: Ideally previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Foreman, Manager, or Service Manager. Confidence, with a strong understanding of workshop processes and team management. Full driving licence; any endorsements must be notified. IT literate; Kerridge knowledge would be a distinct advantage. Good numerical and administrative skills, with attention to detail to ensure accuracy of KPIs.
