The Role We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Manufacturing Workshop Facilitator to lead, train, and manage a team of up to 35 prisoners in a large industrial workshop setting. This role involves overseeing daily manufacturing operations, maintaining production quality, and fostering a rehabilitative work environment that supports skill development and positive growth. As a Manufacturing Workshop Facilitator, you'll play a vital role in helping prisoners gain employability skills that can aid their reintegration into society. You will work closely with other prison staff and Work & Skills Coaches to tailor training, promote teamwork, and support personal and professional growth in a structured, supportive setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct health and safety inductions, train on machinery and tool use, and adapt training to individual learning needs. Develop daily work schedules, monitor production quality, and ensure that all targets and standards are met. Lead, motivate, and manage prisoners in the workshop, promoting discipline, productivity, and skill development with a focus on restorative practices. Conduct regular risk assessments, ensure the security of all tools and materials, and maintain a safe working environment aligned with prison regulations. Log attendance, monitor progress, and complete necessary reports on security, incidents, and personal development. Work with Work & Skills Coaches to help prisoners complete employability passports, embedding skills such as quality control and teamwork. Manage inventory and stock levels to meet production demands, participating in audits to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Requirements: Experience in a manufacturing or industrial operations role Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills A commitment to maintaining safety and security standards Desirable: Relevant vocational qualification in manufacturing or industrial operations Teaching or training experience, ideally with a recognized qualification (PTLLS, AET, or similar) If you're passionate about helping individuals develop skills, foster positive change, and build pathways to future employment, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role. Working Hours:

This is a full-time role, 38.5 hours per week, with the following schedule: Four days per week: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM One half-day per week: either 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
