They specialise in full vehicle conversions, developing innovative solutions, and using top-quality parts to ensure the highest standards of finished vehicle. Their long-standing workforce, many of whom have been with the business since the beginning, is a testament to their supportive and dynamic work environment. With an enviable order book, they are now expanding into new, related markets, and require a suitably qualified and experienced Workshop Manager to make this new venture a success. The Role: As the Workshop Manager, you will: Lead and Manage Projects: Oversee conversions from initial design to final delivery. Team Leadership: Manage a small, enthusiastic manufacturing team (M&E). Customer Interaction: Engage with external stakeholders throughout each project. Central Hub: Provide reports and updates to other departments, coordinating all shopfloor manufacturing activities. The work involves fabrication, carpentry, electrical, and similar hands-on skills. Experience in camper van conversions, boatbuilding, caravan manufacture, or similar fields is ideal. About You: To be successful in this role, you should have: Practical Manufacturing Skills: Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Team Management: Proven ability to lead a team of manufacturing staff. Project Management: Ability to manage projects from initial enquiry to final delivery, including all reporting and monitoring. Relevant Experience: Exposure to vehicle conversions, camper van or caravan manufacture, cabinetry, boatbuilding, or similar fields would be great. Electrical Qualifications: Beneficial but not essential.
