Worksite Manager , you will be accountable to the Head of Office of Site Management and responsible for overall management of the prescribed worksite, including all administrative and operational tasks. You will promote and foster a strong team culture with transparent and open communication within the worksite team and throughout the business. You’ll also provide efficient leadership of a team of multidisciplinary technicians and develop the right culture and capabilities within those teams. In addition, you’ll manage early site works, such as site characterization studies, site clearance and preparation of storage and laydown areas. The role also includes analysing potential decommissioning options and communicating these to senior colleagues in a clear and concise way. You will keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports to the agreed frequency. Additional Responsibilities: Ensuring that environmental sustainability is embedded into all projects from inception with a minimum BREEAM Excellent standard. Management of labour and materials budgets, quality assurance, monitoring of key milestones and deliverables. Help to define the make / buy strategy and define subsequent specifications to cover all work carried out by third parties to implement this strategy. Planning, managing and monitoring all external contractors and service providers. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation, CDM 2015 regulations, and UKAEA safety processes and procedures. Ensuring that all relevant statutory, environmental and programme approvals are obtained prior to works commencing. Coordination and interaction with engineering and waste management partners and management of all site operational interfaces. Executing the safe delivery of worksite decommissioning to programme, cost and quality standards. Salary: £67,023 (inclusive of MPP) + excellent benefits including outstanding pension. Minimum Requirements: Degree or equivalent industry experience in engineering or other suitable technical discipline. Strong technical and engineering skills to deal with the wide variety of project types. Extensive experience of delivering site-based projects, preferably in both the private and public sector. Professional qualification (such as IOSH and NEBOSH) or proven track record in Site Management including project planning and implementation, financial control, the assessment of contract strategies, contract supervision, safety and associated environmental management. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the administration of NEC Engineering and Construction Contract. Experienced in the use of CEMAR contract management software as well as CAD capability and BIM awareness. Experience of working within current construction legislation and its application. Strong knowledge and understanding of the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations with demonstrable experience of site safety management. Demonstrable experience of managing internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
