Job Title : Year 2 Teacher with TLR - Temporary to Permanent
Location : Primary School, South Harrow HA2
Salary : M3 - UPS3
Contract : Full-Time, (ASAP- July 2025 initially, permanent from September)
Hours : Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
About the Role :
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a thriving primary school on a full time basis to start ASAP, there is also an opportunity for a TLR for the right candidate. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive team in a welcoming school environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 2 pupils, ensuring all areas of the curriculum are covered.
Some leadership responsibilities - supporting ECTs / subject leadership
Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports the needs of all students, including those with SEN and EAL.
Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as required.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to plan and implement school initiatives.
Support children's social and emotional development and promote positive behaviour.
Manage classroom resources effectively, ensuring a well-organised and productive learning space.
Key Requirements :
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum and experience in delivering it effectively.
A passion for working with young children and helping them achieve their potential.
Experience working with children with additional learning needs, including EAL and SEN, is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults.
A DBS check will be required (if not already held).
Desirable :
Experience in teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2.
Familiarity with phonics programs and effective assessment strategies.
