We are looking for an experienced Year 5 teacher who is excited to inspire and motivate our students while covering a maternity leave in a vibrant and well-resourced classroom. As a Year 5 Teacher, you will take on full responsibility for the planning, delivery, and assessment of the curriculum, ensuring a smooth transition for the students and continued progress during the maternity leave period. You will work closely with the Year 5 team to deliver engaging and creative lessons, fostering a positive classroom environment where students can thrive. Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum for Year 5. Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to both students and parents. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued. Differentiate teaching to meet the individual needs of students, including those with additional learning requirements. Maintain high standards of behaviour, ensuring an atmosphere conducive to learning. Work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression in learning. Contribute to wider school life through participation in extracurricular activities and school events. Minimum Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching Year 5 or in Key Stage 2 (desirable). A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. A commitment to the ethos of the school and the academic and personal development of students.
