Year End Accountant - 3+ month contract - Hybrid

As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a talented Year-End Accountant to join our finance team. Your new role This role you will be required to - Year-End Financial Reporting: Preparing and managing year-end financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Acturis System Management: Utilise the Acturis Insurance System to maintain accurate financial records, perform reconciliations, and generate financial reports. Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management. Audit Preparation: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support for year-end audits. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards applicable to the insurance industry. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy. What you'll need to succeed
ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE accountant Experience within an insurance business and using Acturis is desired or use of other insurance ERP systems Experience with closing a year-end within an insurance business Producing financial statements to a high standard Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
