We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Commercial team as a Yield Analyst.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to the successful candidate to contribute to our commercial success. As a Yield Analyst, you will be an important part in ensuring Grand Central fares are priced to maximise passenger numbers and revenue, through management of our Revenue Management System settings. In this role you will provide essential insights that drive business decisions and optimize revenue generation. Responsibilities Manage Grand Central’s (GC) revenue management strategy, implementing agreed prices and availability of GC’s Advance Purchase (AP) inventory to maximise revenue and passenger loadings whilst minimising crowding. Monitor competitors’ fares and take action to exploit tactical opportunities to grow GC revenue. Manage GC’s interface with AUKT’s Revenue Management System; working with AUKT divisional and GC colleagues to ensure commercial position is maximised. Maximise booking horizon (Up to T-26) in line with GC commercial strategy. Make yield management recommendations to the AUKT Revenue team and implement those decisions. Yield manage group requests, including decisions to accept group bookings. Minimum Requirements Educated to degree level (or similar) with strong written and numerical skills. Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Commercially aware and able to appreciate the wider business perspective. Able to take an innovative approach within their work and make proactive recommendations. Dynamic and positive individual with the enthusiasm for getting to grips with complex issues and juggle multiple responsibilities. An understanding of rail retail systems, rail pricing and implementation. Customer empathy with understanding of the impact of commercial actions on customer experience. Ability to exert influence and negotiate outcomes in internal and external context. Have significant experience of analysing complex data.
