An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small team of Young Persons Engagement Workers to work across the A2i team and CAMH's services in Portsmouth. The successful applicant will support young people aged between 16-25 who require additional support to aid engagement with Adult Mental Health services or accessing support networks in their local community upon discharge from CAMHS. You will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team and demonstrate a good level of specialist skills and experience in supporting young people with mental health needs alongside multi-complex and at times long-standing difficulties. The role was designed to support the young person to navigate the journey of transition and be able to work in a flexible and more assertive way, to support engagement with Adult mental health services. This may include but is not limited to: transition from Child and Adolescent mental health services into secondary care mental health services, talking therapies, other community mental health services and community resources that will support the young person's recovery. You will have the ability to provide bespoke time-limited recovery focused interventions with the young person. Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced support worker who is dedicated to making a difference to service users in the community. Candidates should be able to manage their own caseload effectively, make clear documentation, and work autonomously in the community or in a team. You must be empathetic to others and able to effectively escalate risk. The successful candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday 9-5 with some potential flexibility required. About us
