Youth and Children's Worker - Full time or Part time

St Mark's Church, Stockport, Manchester Salary: £25,000 Description of Job We are looking for a youth and children’s worker who will be responsible for overseeing and developing our existing Sunday programme as well as seeking to develop midweek opportunities. You’ll be working closely with our volunteer teams, supporting, inspiring, training, and encouraging them as they graciously give their time and energy to serve our children and youth. This role also offers the opportunity to pioneer fresh ways of reaching out to children and youth in our wider community alongside our existing models of engagement. It is key that your passion for this role stems from your own love for Jesus and a desire to see children and young people become disciples and develop their own personal relationship with Jesus. We are committed to your development too and will seek to invest in you both personally and professionally through supervision, mentoring, and appropriate training. If you wish to have an informal conversation in advance of making your application, please contact Rev Andy Bull at

stmarks@mail.com . More information about our church can be found on our website:

stmarks-church.co.uk . We would happily consider a job share where two people work part-time. We would also consider part-time options for this role. Please contact us for a discussion about these possibilities. Your completed application form should reach us by

Sunday 30 July 2023 . Applications should be emailed to

We’re passionate about inviting people to encounter Jesus and become disciples who then share the good news with others so that they become disciples too. We want people to feel like they belong to the St Mark’s family and know that they have a part to play in the life of the church. As well as teaching others about Jesus and providing a space to worship God, we are also committed to helping the poor, the disadvantaged, and the socially excluded. In addition to our Sunday worship services and midweek activities, we run various groups and services that address needs in the wider local community.
