Change Mentor

to join a dynamic team, providing guidance and education to help young people thrive. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality Maths and English Functional Skills sessions (NCFE curriculum) and Change Workshops focused on Careers. Work closely with learners from Pre-Entry to Level 2, adapting planning and teaching to meet individual needs, including those with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP). Provide engaging one-to-one and group support sessions tailored to each learner, ensuring they stay motivated and on track. Build strong, positive relationships with students, creating a safe, supportive environment where young people feel confident to express themselves. Track progress, assess student work, and deliver detailed feedback to support their growth and development. Assist with student pick-ups and drop-offs when necessary and ensure compliance with vehicle requirements. Keep accurate records using systems such as CPOMS (Safeguarding) and HUBmis (learner info). Uphold safeguarding and health & safety protocols at all times. About You: You’ll thrive in this role if you: Have a passion for working with young people and a strong commitment to building student-centered relationships, then supporting their education and personal development. Have experience working in youth work, SEND, or alternative provision settings. Are skilled in delivering functional skills, mentoring, and providing one-to-one support. Are proactive, compassionate, and organized, with the ability to adapt quickly to meet the needs of individual learners. Uphold safeguarding practices and are committed to creating a safe environment for all students. Possess a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for student transport (business cover required).
