Youth Justice Practitioner Contract: 7 months initially Rate: £25ph Umbrella Location: Hybrid around Barnsley area (home visits and remote working) Full time

Overall Job Role We are looking for a candidate with proven knowledge and experience in working with children and young people who have exhibited harmful sexual behaviours (including at least AIM3 assessment training). This is a unique opportunity to provide specialist assessments and interventions to children and their families within a wide range of children's services, aiming to prevent, where possible, involvement in the criminal justice system. While we are seeking a youth justice practitioner, the ideal candidate will possess strong skills in interprofessional and interagency collaboration to achieve the best outcomes for children and their families. A social work qualification is desirable, though we also welcome applicants from related fields such as youth work, youth justice, early help, counselling, or other therapeutic professions. We are seeking a candidate who has a proven ability to produce high-quality, analytical assessments for courts and other professional settings, effectively communicating complex issues related to risk, safety, and support needs. The candidate should have recent experience in working therapeutically with children and families affected by harmful sexual behaviour and complex needs, including planning and delivering therapeutic interventions. This role requires direct work with children and families, including home visits, so a valid driving licence and access to a car are essential. Although this is a full-time role, flexible working arrangements, including remote working, will be considered for the right candidate, in line with the organisation's commitment to supporting a healthy work-life balance.
