Youth Mental Health Support - Headington
A warm and welcoming school in Headington is looking for a Youth Mental Health Support Worker. This school prides itself on facilitating a friendly and safe environment for their students. The students at this school suffer from mental health difficulties that stem from anxiety and depression and have trouble regulating and processing their emotions. What is involved: Supporting children with their emotional needs on a 1:1 basis or in a small group setting. Supporting the class teacher with general classroom duties. Helping to manage behaviour in the classroom. Facilitating a fun and engaging learning environment. What is required: Advocate for positive mental health. Caring and compassionate individual. Resilient and confident, able to adapt to changing situations easily as the students have varying needs and educational plans. Experience within mental health is desirable but not essential.
