February This Ofsted rated Outstanding school in Carterton has a significant number of students diagnosed with Autism, many of whom have co-existing SEMH needs. The school requires a Youth Mental Health Worker to support students in their daily activities. The SEN students are between the ages of 4 and 11, each with a personalised EHCP and individual intervention plans designed to help them thrive. As a Youth Mental Health Worker, you will help them complete their academic work and navigate their emotions while promoting functional life skills for independence. Responsibilities:
Deliver specific interventions tailored for the students' needs and goals. De-escalate any meltdowns and challenging behavior. Assist children in processing their emotions. Create a safe and engaging learning environment. Qualities Required:
Proven experience supporting EYFS, KS1, KS2 students in Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant or similar roles. Determination to make a difference. Proactive attitude. Understanding of safeguarding principles. Individuals with backgrounds in psychology, sport, art, drama, or music would benefit greatly from this role.
