About Kelwel Care:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic youth residential support mentor to join our team and play a pivotal role in enriching the lives of young people in our care.
Role Overview:
As a youth residential support mentor, you will be working in a home for adolescents with emotional and behavioural disorders. Your role is primarily that of a care worker, and you will be part of a team that provides a safe and often life-changing experience for our residents with ongoing support from the registered manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Building positive relationships with residents and acting as a role model.
Assisting with daily routines, including meal preparation, education, and recreational activities.
Providing one-on-one mentoring and support to address individual needs.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement personalized care plans.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
Facilitating group activities and workshops to promote social and emotional development.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, or a related field are preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate young men from diverse backgrounds.
Attributes:
A proactive and energetic attitude, with a passion for working with young people. A commitment to being a positive influence and role model.
Requirements:
A valid UK driver's licence and a clear Enhanced DBS check or willingness to complete one.
Shift Pattern:
2 days on, 4 days off, which includes an overnight stay in the home.
