Youth Mentor – Haringey

Youth Mentor - Haringey - January 2025 - Secondary school - £90 - £120 a day We are looking for a Youth Mentor who has experience working with young people who have challenging behaviour and wants to make a positive impact in a young person's life. The ideal candidate should be able to start imminently, have hands-on experience working with vulnerable young people, hold an enhanced DBS, and be able to commute to Haringey. The role - Youth Mentor - Haringey A Youth Mentor works closely with children or young people with challenging behaviour in a variety of settings. Depending on the situation, you will either be supporting children one-on-one or in small groups. You will be responsible for helping them academically and with their behaviour. You will record the progress of students in the program and identify ways to help them, working alongside behavioural staff members, the SLT, and class teachers. You may run or support interventions aimed at providing extra support to pupils with challenging subjects or addressing their behavioural or emotional needs.
