Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our locations. About this opportunity: We are the Mainframe Networks Team within z Mainframe Services who look after the Mainframe Network estate across the whole of Lloyds Banking Group. As an IBM Networks subject matter expert on z Series Mainframe, you will function as technical authority for this area. This is a hands-on role where you will configure and maintain products and services according to Group standards and policies (and to agreed service levels) and will assist with the delivery of projects within the team's focus – this includes operational support 24/7. Additionally, you will provide technical support (including incident and problem resolution for systems and processes in complex environments using site reliability engineering (SRE) principles. Key Responsibilities

Maintaining service stability and optimisation. Support and implement changes to our estate within LBG as required. Resolution of incidents and problems across the LBG estate in line with LBG KPI’s. Provide 24x7 support and provide support for projects and team workload as required. Identify, review, evaluate and mitigate potential risks ensuring adherence to relevant risk policies and frameworks or to ensure compliance with internal/external regulation. Help drive the strategy and design across the estate. Collaborate with key stakeholders, drive and deliver against the technology roadmap. Enforce standardisation and assist with improvement initiatives in the team. What you’ll need

Career background as a Mainframe Engineer working at a mid to senior level. Must have extensive experience z/OS and zVM Networking (Communication server, SNA, TCP/IP) Must have knowledge of all the following z/OS, zVM, USS, SDSF, JCL. Session Management products e.g., TPX, CL/Supersession, NC-Access Network Management products e.g., NETVIEW Experience of diagnosing and troubleshooting critical on-line systems. Highly motivated and encouraging teammate with a strong delivery ethic, willing to work unsociable hours when required and at short notice to support incidents and delivery of key projects. Strong delivery experience ideally operating in multifaceted IT environments or companies. Professionalism and dedication of commercial and interpersonal awareness and working with 3rd Parties.
