1-2-1 Specialist Learning Support Practitioner

Specialist Learning Support Practitioner focuses on provide consistent one to one support for a year 4 pupil in line with the outcomes and provision detailed in the education, health.

What the role involves

• Provide consistent one to one support for a Year 4 pupil in line with the outcomes and provision detailed in the Education, Health.
• Supporting the pupil's access to the curriculum by adapting tasks, instructions and resources to meet their individual learning, sensory and attention needs.
• Review support, ensuring inclusion within the classroom and wider school activities wherever possible.
• Report on the pupil's progress against EHCP targets, contributing to reviews, meetings and documentation as required.
• Promote independence, self-confidence and social communication skills, encouraging the pupil to develop strategies to manage their own learning and behaviour.
• Supporting transitions throughout the school day, including movement between lessons, break times and changes to routine, helping the pupil to feel secure and prepared.

Confirmed role details

• Fixed Term Contract - Full-Time (This is a FTC until July 3rd 2026 with potential to extend).
• 40 hours per week.
• Our philosophy is to ensure that each pupil at Cumnor House is given the opportunity to develop not just on an educational level, but also socially.
• The purpose of this role is to provide consistent, structured one to one support to enable a Year 4 pupil with ADHD and ASD to access learning, regulate emotions.
