1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
This Teaching Assistant opportunity is built around providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, including behavioural and emotional needs. It would suit someone who can bring maintaining a safe, calm and supportive learning environment to the role.
Who the work supports
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Access to a variety of primary school placements.
How support shows up
Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, including behavioural and emotional needs. Supporting pupils to engage in learning and follow classroom routines. Assisting pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation and independence.

Maintaining a safe, calm and supportive learning environment. Is calm, patient, nurturing and confident managing behaviour.
What needs to be in place
- Has experience supporting children with behavioural needs, SEN or SEMH.
- Successful candidates will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, references, and safeguarding checks in line with current legislation.
- All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Job details
- Opportunity to secure permanent roles through agency placements.
- Full-time & Part-time available.
- In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
- Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience).
