The Teaching Assistant position centres on supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.

Role overview

Prospero Teaching are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in a local school in Braintree. An individual who has strong behaviour management skills and is passionate about supporting children on a 1:1 basis.

Main responsibilities

supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment. Able to support learners with patience and structure.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a UK school setting.
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Relevant teaching, instruction, or learner-support experience.

Job details

  • £100 – £110 per day (depending on experience).
  • TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:.
  • Monday to Friday, 08:15am – 15:45pm.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
