What the role involves

• Delivering engaging 1:1 lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Supporting students’ academic and emotional development.
• Provide feedback to parents and professionals.
• Complete basic attendance and progress reports.
• As a 1:1 SEN Tutor in i Newton Aycliffe, you will provide individualised face-to-face tutoring designed to help students re-engage with education, improve their English and Maths s.
• Develop confidence in learning.

Skills and requirements

• Experience teaching or tutoring SEN learners (KS2 or KS3).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply).
• Two years of verifiable references.

Confirmed role details

• Pay: £30 per hour.

Candidate fit

• Patience, clear communication, classroom awareness, and a calm learner-focused approach.

Additional role context

• Up to 15 per week per student.
• Start date: November 2025.
