Job description

As a Account Manager, the work centres on providing individualised support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and behavioural or emotional needs. It would suit someone who can bring a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to the role.

Who the work supports

One of the preferred suppliers to all 22 local authorities in Wales under the All Wales Framework Agreement. New Directions Education is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work on a 1:1 basis in schools across Cardiff.

How support shows up

Provide individualised support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and behavioural or emotional needs. Assisting in implementing personalised learning plans. Supporting the pupil’s engagement, confidence, and social development.

What needs to be in place

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children or young people with ALN (school-based or similar settings).
