1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Middleton on the Wolds, Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP (ideally immediate start)
Contract: Part-Time – Until Friday 17th July
Pay: £92 – £115 per day

GSL Education is seeking a resilient and patient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil in a welcoming primary school setting. This role is to start as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year.

Working Hours:

• Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 8:30am – 12:00pm
• Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30am – 3:30pm

The Role:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with Autism (ASC).
• Support the pupil’s engagement with learning and daily classroom routines.
• Use a calm, consistent approach to support emotional regulation.
• Work closely with teaching staff and follow guidance from the wider support team.
• Help create a structured and positive learning environment.

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Will Have:

• Experience working with SEN, particularly ASC (desirable).
• A patient, resilient, and strong-minded approach.
• The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Confidence in supporting pupils who may present with occasional outbursts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
