8b Finance Business Partner focuses on act as the lead finance business partner for a designated clinical division or corporate directorate.

What the role involves

  • Act as the lead Finance Business Partner for a designated Clinical Division or Corporate Directorate.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and challenge to senior operational and clinical leaders.
  • Leading annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Supporting the delivery of Cost Improvement Programmes (CIPs) and productivity initiatives.
  • Produce and present monthly financial performance reports to divisional management teams.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, ensuring robust mitigation plans are in place.

Skills and requirements

  • Qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Previous experience working at Band 8A/8B level within the NHS.
  • Proven track record of finance business partnering with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting CIP delivery and financial recovery programmes.

  • We are currently supporting a large Acute NHS Trust in the South East of England to recruit an experienced Band 8B Finance Business Partner on an interim basis.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership across a complex operational portfolio.
  • Band 8B equivalent.
  • 6-month initial contract with potential extension.
