Accident & Emergency Nurses focuses on triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritizing care based on the severity of their condition.

What the role involves

  • Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritizing care based on the severity of their condition.
  • Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilize patients, providing life-saving measures when necessary.
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions.
  • Assisting the medical team in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting the results.
  • Administering medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians.
  • Initiating and maintaining intravenous access for patients requiring fluids and medications.

Skills and requirements

  • NMC Registration 6 months.
  • 6 months experience in A&E in the last 12 months- able to provide 2 references for verification covering the last 3 years of work.
  • To meet our framework compliance requirements including DBS, and Occupational Health and Updated CV.
  • Right to work within the UK – Documented proof will be required.
