Account Manager focuses on to maintain existing relationships with customers and liaise with supply chain to ensure consistent high level of service.

What the role involves

  • To maintain existing relationships with customers and liaise with supply chain to ensure consistent high level of service.
  • Maintaining regular contact with customers, developing long-term relationships with customers.
  • Developing defined sectors and accounts annualising contracts where possible and ensuring orders are covered with PO’s.
  • Maintaining and growing margins through negotiating pricing with customers and competitive costs from suppliers.
  • Managing existing relationships with customers with regular customer business reviews, identifying and gathering product demand.
  • Monthly basis as appropriate and updating monthly.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant sales, account management, business development, CRM, or customer-facing experience may be useful.

Candidate fit

  • Numerate and ability to read P&L and understand margins.
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent time management.
