Accounts Assistant focuses on be responsible for supporting the head office accounts manager to ensure financial controls are maintained through effective processing and reconciling of high volumes of supplier.

What the role involves

  • Be responsible for supporting the Head Office Accounts Manager to ensure financial controls are maintained through effective processing and reconciling of high volumes of supplier.
  • Liaise with relevant department and supplier on discrepancies.
  • Assisting with Sales Ledger.
  • Assisting with Credit Control.
  • Maintaining stationery supplies.
  • Assisting with staff inductions.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant finance, accounts, payroll, Excel, bookkeeping, or accounting-system experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

  • Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00 pm with ½ an hour unpaid lunch.
  • Note: Late finish last working day of the month to ensure all month end procedures are complete.
  • Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays – increase with time served.

Candidate fit

  • Able to stay calm under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritise own work load.
  • Ability to follow instructions/procedures.
