Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk position centres on accounts Payable month end and year end processes to support the Management Accounts reporting process. It would suit someone who can bring generous holiday allowance (rising with service) to the role.

Who the work supports

This 4th generation family-owned business primarily operates within the construction sector but has also developed more specialist services for a broad range of customers. It has six main business activities and operates from over 32 sites and divisional offices across the UK.

How support shows up

Accounts Payable month end and year end processes to support the Management Accounts reporting process. Liaising with other teams within the finance function where required. High volume processing of invoices in an accurate and timely manner.

The approach that fits

Generous holiday allowance (rising with service). Excellent problem-solving skills for timely and efficient resolution of invoice queries. A basic level of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

What needs to be in place

• Experience with using accounts software packages such as Sage 50 and Sage 200 (would be useful).
• Experience of working with high volume invoice processing.
• Experience of working well under pressure, prioritise workload, and adhere to strict deadlines.
