Role overview
Perform and interpret a wide range of complex neurophysiological investigations autonomously, including EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and evoked potentials. The post holder will provide advanced analytical interpretation and expert clinical advice to support the diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with neu.
Care and support involved
Deliver highly complex neurophysiological investigations independently, ensuring accurate execution and adherence to clinical standards. Act as the designated clinical lead for specific specialist procedures, ensuring compliance with national and local protocols. Leading on the development and implementation of best practice standards for neurophysiological investigations.
Care skills and requirements
- MSc Healthcare Science (Neurophysiology) or demonstrable equivalent experience at this level. Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS) registration.
- Experience in Intraoperative or advanced monitoring techniques. Involvement in research, innovation or protocol development within neurophysiology.
- Demonstrates the ability to analyse and interpret complex neurophysiological data accurately, translating technical findings into clinically meaningful information.
