ALN Teaching Assistant
Job description
This Teaching Assistant role is focused on supporting pupils’ learning and classroom engagement. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.

PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties). SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs).
How the role works day to day
Supporting pupils’ learning and classroom engagement. Helping pupils with emotional regulation and social development. Ensuring a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all learners.
Practical details
- Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
- All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

What needs to be in place
- Previous experience supporting pupils with ALN (preferred).
- Enhanced Child‑Only DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply).
- Health & Social Care or related qualification (desirable).
