What the role involves

• Coordinate the Mine Medic team ensuring high standards of clinical practice in occupational health, trauma care and emergency response.
• Ensure sustained compliance with mandatory health standards, regulatory requirements and recognised best practice.
• Develop and continuously improve the Medical Emergency Response Plan including clinical protocols, equipment requirements and emergency medical stock.
• Provide clinical support for unplanned walk ins and urgent presentations within the Occupational Health service.
• Delivering expert medical advice to line managers and HR on sickness absence, fitness for work and rehabilitation pathways.
• Partner with HR and line managers to ensure effective case management including functional assessments, work restrictions and alternative duties.

Skills and requirements

• Primary Medical Degree (MBSS or equivalent).
• Full registration with the national medical regulator (GMC).
• Experience in remote, industrial or high-risk environments ideally mining or heavy industry.
