Apprentice Commercial Vehicle Technician

This Apprentice Commercial Vehicle Technician role is focused on to assist and carry out vehicle inspection examinations in line with VOSA procedure and Company policy. It would suit someone who can bring supporting site-by-site logistics operations while learning systems, routines, and working standards to the role.

How the role is set up

Generous Holiday Allowance: 25 days, you also get to enjoy a day off for your birthday, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. You can also buy or sell up to a week’s leave. To be trained in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repairs on HGV and light commercial vehicles.

Where someone would start

To complete jobs in full before the end of the shift or carry out job handover as required ensuring the vehicle is left in a safe condition with necessary safety signage present. To assist and carry out vehicle inspection examinations in line with VOSA procedure and Company policy. To assist in the test and check systems and components are safe, secure and working properly.

What is expected

• Ability to learn about knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Can either be in 1st or 2nd year of Vehicle Apprenticeship already.
• Ability to learn about commercial vehicle maintenance and servicing.

Job details

• Pension Plan: We contribute up to 10% of your annual salary towards your pension.
• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically 8.00am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch).
