A creative and forward-thinking Independent secondary school in Coventry is seeking a passionate and talented Art Teacher to join its thriving Arts department from April. About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5)

  • Planning and delivering engaging, practical lessons using a range of media

  • Encouraging pupils to develop their own artistic style and creativity

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress

  • Preparing pupils for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations

  • Contributing to curriculum development within the department

  • Supporting extracurricular activities such as art clubs, exhibitions, or competitions

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have strong subject knowledge in Art

  • Be confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

  • Be passionate about creative education

  • Work effectively within a collaborative and innovative department
