Assistant Environmental Consultant

Assistant Environmental Consultant focuses on checking works including phase 1 desk studies, material management plans, verification reports, permit applications.

What the role involves

• Checking works including Phase 1 Desk Studies, material management plans, verification reports, permit applications.
• Earthworks including liaising with Contractors, in accordance with environmental permit and material management plan.
• Digital data management including using tools such as PowerBI, GIS and Openground to collate and interpret verification data.
• Maintaining CPD necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the role, with support from the business on own training and development needs.
• Management of own work including supporting senior management to ensure projects are to delivered on-time, on budget and to quality and client expectations.

Skills and requirements

• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science subject (e.g. geology, geotechnics, hydrogeology, chemistry, environmental science).
• Demonstratable understanding of land contamination/brownfield land issues including understanding of relevant codes of practice and industry standards.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience preferable in contamination/brownfield land site based work i.e. site investigations.

Confirmed role details

• 25 days annual leave, plus paid bank holidays, plus the ability to buy up to 15 extra days annual leave. Extended leave for holidays can be accommodated with advanced notice.
