Where ownership sits

Responsibilities: Completion / checking works including Phase 1 Desk Studies, material management plans, verification reports, permit applications. Rewards and Benefits: 25 days annual leave, plus paid bank holidays, plus the ability to buy up to 15 extra days annual leave.

What the role carries

Developing own competence and maintain CPD necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the role, with support from the business on own training and development needs. Management of own work including supporting senior management to ensure projects are to delivered on-time, on budget and to quality and client expectations. Supervising remediation / earthworks including liaising with Contractors, in accordance with environmental permit and material management plan.

What the role depends on

• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science subject (e.g. geology, geotechnics, hydrogeology, chemistry, environmental science).
• Experience preferable in contamination/brownfield land site based work i.e. site investigations; earthworks etc and report writing.
• Demonstratable understanding of land contamination/brownfield land issues including understanding of relevant codes of practice and industry standards.
