Chappell Enterprises UK is recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly regarded golf course that has recently undergone significant investment in both its clubhouse and course. We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Greenkeeper to join their team and help maintain the course to the highest standards.
This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a passion for turf care, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to work in a professional and team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
Course Maintenance
Prepare and maintain the golf course to an exceptional standard, including mowing greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.Operate turf management machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.Assist in aeration, topdressing, fertilization, and irrigation activities.Support turf health management, including disease and pest control.Carry out bunker maintenance, divot repair, and general course upkeep.Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.Course Development & Construction
Assist with course improvement projects, including bunker renovations, drainage installation, and turfing.Operate construction machinery and tools as required.Contribute to landscape and infrastructure improvements.Irrigation & Water Management
Support the maintenance and operation of the irrigation system.Assist in implementing water conservation strategies to optimize course conditions.Machinery & Equipment Maintenance
Perform basic maintenance of greenkeeping machinery.Report mechanical issues to the Head Greenkeeper.Requirements
Essential:
A proactive and hardworking attitude with a strong work ethic.Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.Desirable:
Previous greenkeeping, turf care, or sports turf maintenance experience.NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management or willingness to work towards it.PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates.Experience using and maintaining greenkeeping machinery.Full UK driving licence.Benefits
