Assistant Manufacturing Manager

Assistant Manufacturing Manager focuses on managing cnc machines to perform different jobs including manufacturing from solid and regrinding existing tools.

What the role involves

• Managing CNC machines to perform different jobs including manufacturing from Solid and regrinding existing tools.
• Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production, while adhering to very tight tolerances.
• Program offline to ensure maximum machine output.
• Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
• Overseeing the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
• Checking machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.

Skills and requirements

• Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
• A team player, working well with others, shift work and overtime work required to meet demands.

Confirmed role details

• Shift will be rotational and will be worked between dayshift, backshift or nightshift on a 2 to 3 week basis.

Additional role context

• Dayshift 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thusday and 2pm finish on Friday.
• Backsift 2pm to Midnight over Sunday to Wednesday.
• Nightshift 7pm till 5am over Sunday to Wednesday.
