Associate Director focuses on independent credit review & assessment.

What the role involves

• Independent Credit Review & Assessment.
• Leading reviews of leveraged lending and wholesale credit exposures, including sponsor-backed transactions, LBOs, recapitalizations, refinancings, and complex capital structures.
• Assess ongoing monitoring practices, borrower performance, sponsor behavior, and covenant compliance within the portfolio.
• Governance, Reporting & Stakeholder Interaction.
• Preparing clear, objective reports summarizing findings, root causes, and recommended improvements.
• Present results to senior risk leadership, credit executives, and business line stakeholders.

Additional role context

• Evaluate underwriting quality, financial analysis, deal structures, covenants, collateral, and alignment with risk appetite.
• Validate accuracy of internal risk ratings and identify gaps requiring further mitigation or escalation.
• Identify emerging risks, concentration themes, and portfolio vulnerabilities tied to market conditions or sponsor behavior.
