Job title - Associate Director - Building Services
Location - London
The Opportunity:
We have an opportunity for an outward facing Building Services Associate Director who is chartered, looking for technically challenging work on cutting-edge projects in the Property sector to join our established team in London.
In this role you will lead the Building Services aspects on a portfolio of projects in and around London, embedding thought leadership and innovation into your design response for our clients. You will have overall responsibility for the financial performance of the projects including liaising directly with clients on fees and commercial matters, effectively overseeing total project delivery by enabling effective team management and delegation to ensure the efficient and satisfactory delivery of multiple and complex projects.
As part of your role, you must be a recognised focal point for client contact and business development within Arup and be able to influence strategically. This role will be responsible for a number of strategic aspects in relation to the project portfolio and its delivery; ensuring that the overall interests of the Arup business strategy are met.
Team Context
PSI2 is predominantly London and Cambridge focused in Geography terms. It hosts and manages a significant number of the commercial developer relationships that shape the London market offer in commercial mixed-use projects, media, and emerging markets of science and healthcare. PSI2 is a £31.5m business, with import across several Arup portfolios to deliver our work. 85% of the team income is from multi-disciplinary appointments, relying on exemplary client management and care, translation of value from Arup, and integration to deliver total design successfully for our clients.

We are looking for someone who can lead on industry technical excellence and is capable of delivering high-quality Building Services solutions for our clients.
As a member of the team in a leadership position, you will have strong communication, organisational and negotiating skills and experience in leading successful project teams. You will be a team player capable of imparting knowledge and experience to other members of the team in order to facilitate their growth and development.
You should have strong commercial and client facing skills and be able to represent Arup externally with a proven track record in the delivery of strategic business goals. Generating new business will be central to the role and reference to key client contacts in Property and track record will be welcomed.
You will be keen on building the team around you and growing our business.
