As a Associate Estimator, the work centres on understanding and supporting the contribution to work winning and the Stage Gate governance process. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.

What the work leans on

Be based at our head office in Kilsyth, Scotland. Working responsibly with commercially sensitive pre-tender and tender information.

Where the technical work sits

• Understanding and supporting the contribution to work winning and the Stage Gate governance process.
• Understanding the scope of a project, including review of 3D model and 2D digital drawing information and extracting information including specification details and quantities.
• Contributing to preparing and issuing supply chain enquiries and amendments in accordance with the tender Procurement Plan.

Technical requirements

• Contributing to and supporting preparing the estimate including calculations schedules, reports, and tender summaries, and preparing the priced bill using proprietary Estimating so.
• Degree, HND in Civil Engineering or NVQ equivalent level.
• Suitable civil engineering site experience, with awareness of methods and typical production rates.
